Underwaltzer — a portmanteau of “underwater” and “waltz/walzer” — is my first attempt at making some “serious” music, that is, something more articulated and enjoyable to listen to.
It was made with a MIDI controller (a Novation Launchkey 49 MK2), with heavy adjustments and arrangements via a DAW to cover where my skill was not letting me express what I wanted.
Unfortunately, together with many other songs on this list, I lost the original project files for this one due to a hard disk malfunction. So if I wanted to make some modifications I would have to remake it from scratch.

The idea of this short song is to remind of the classic telephone ringtones of the 2000s/2010s. Made by me and a friend in less than an hour, it is to this day our signature ringtone.

A theme that I made for a game that I was developing with an Apple Developer Academy alumnus. The game featured simple neon graphics and fast gameplay, so I was looking for a sound signature that fit that.

A quick theme that I made for a forest level of a video game I was working on. Most of the work here was on trying to find the right instruments to create the right atmosphere.

The purpose of this song was to get acquainted with some new tools, namely the REAPER DAW, since I wanted to ditch having to run a DAW through wine to run it on linux. I liked the result and made it the background theme of this webpage.

A quick joke song that I made with my friends in an afternoon.

Initially meant to be a song for guitar, I had started experimenting with other sounds to see if they fit the short initial theme. It then took an almost dance turn which was totally unintended, but it turned out as a fun lively song.

I wish I didn't lose the project files for this one, as it had potential, and today I would know how to make it work. Fortunately, it is not overproduced and should be easy to recreate if I have the time and will one day.

Egdy name aside, this song was my testing ground for audio automation and overall production. Not necessarily the most interesting song, but its value is in what I learned for future songs.

One of the first songs I made. I made it as the soundtrack for a space game I was developing at the Apple Developer Academy. It is the last relic of a time when I was making music with GarageBand on an iPad, before switching to DAWs on a pc.
